Weekend gap
A difference between a price before a weekend closure and a later price when quoting or trading resumes.
Example: A shop’s Friday price may differ from the price displayed when it next opens.
Keep in mind: A stop instruction does not guarantee that execution will occur at a requested price across a gap.
Weighted average fill
The sum of each executed price multiplied by its filled quantity, divided by total filled quantity in compatible units.
Example: Invented fills of 100 units at 1.10 and 200 at 1.12 give (110 + 224)/300, about 1.11333 per unit.
Keep in mind: Use actual compatible fills and quantity weights; a simple unweighted average gives a different figure.
Wick
The part of a conventional candlestick showing an extreme beyond the open-to-close body, also called a shadow.
Example: With open 10, close 12, high 13 and low 9, the wicks cover 12–13 and 9–10.
Keep in mind: A wick does not identify who traded or prove the next price direction.
Win rate
The fraction of completed cases with positive results under the stated result and cost convention, using the defined denominator.
Example: In an invented ledger with two wins, one loss and one zero, wins are 2 of 4 completed cases: 50%.
Keep in mind: Zeros and unresolved cases need distinct treatment; sample win rate is not an established future win probability.
Withdrawal fee
A charge for a withdrawal under the provider’s and payment route’s terms.
Example: Withdrawing an invented 50-unit amount may carry a separately stated 2-unit fee.
Keep in mind: A withdrawal reduces cash balance but is not itself a trading loss; unexplained advance payment demands need scrutiny.
