Ether
The native asset of Ethereum, abbreviated ETH. It is used for transaction fees and staking under Ethereum rules. Ethereum is the network; ether is its native asset.
Example: A learner sees a fee quoted in ETH and checks its GBP equivalent separately. The network name and the fee asset are related but different.
Keep in mind: ETH is different from a token merely issued on Ethereum.
